Cable Entry
Every cabtyre cable has an anti-wickingblock at the cable entry section on thepump. This mechanism is such that apart of each conductor is stripped backand the part is sealed by molded rubberor epoxy potting which has flowed inbetween each strand of the conductor.This unique feature preventswicking alongthe strand of theconductor itself.
Mechanical Seal
The mechanical seal with two sealfaces containing silicon carbide (SiC) is equipped with the oil chamber. Theadvantages of the seal are two-fold, iteliminates spring failure caused bycorrosion, abrasion or fouling whichprevents the seal faces from closingproperly, and prevents loss of coolingto the lower seal faces during run-dryconditions which causes the lower sealfaces to fail.
Oil Lifter(Patented)
The Oil Lifter was developed as alubricating device for the mechanicalseal. Utilizing the centrifugal force of theshaft seal, the Oil Lifter forcibly supplieslubricating oil to the mechanical sealand continues to supply the oil to theupper seal faces even if lubricant fallsbelow the rated volume. This amazinglysimple device is not only reliablylubricates and cools down, but alsoretains the stable shaft seal effect andextends the inspection term.
Motor Protector
Each pump up to 7.5kW as standardhas a built in auto-cut, self-resettingCircle Thermal Protector (CTP).Integrated in the motor housing, theCTP directly cuts the motor circuit ifexcessive heat buildsup or an overcurrentcaused by an electrical or mechanicalfailure occurs.
A Miniature Thermal Protector (MTP)is embedded in each winding of themotor. These MTPs are connected inseries, and their wires are led out ofthe motor. Should the windingtemperature rise to the actuatingtemperature, the bimetal strip opensto cause the control panel to shut thepower supply
Motor
The motor is a dry-type, squirrel-cageinduction motor, housed in a watertightcasing, and conforms to insulationclasses E or F. In each of theseinsulation classes, all standard pumpscan be used in ambient temperatures up to 40°C.
Shaft
The high-tensile stainless steel shaftused on all pumps is designed to haveadequate strength for the transmissionof the full load. It is supported by C3type, high-quality, deep-groove ballbearings.
